ABOUT ME

My name is Matt Pasquali and I graduated from Dickinson College in 2018. Originally from Guilderland, New York, I went to Dickinson with ambitions to pursue a career in the environmental field. Through coursework, internships, and time working for the college's Center for Sustainability Education, I gained skills and experience related to the field of sustainability.

Post graduation, I have continued my work in the sustainability field. In July 2018, I started my career with the Arlington County Solid Waste Bureau (SWB) in Virginia. There, I enriched my knowledge about municipal solid waste (MSW) and learned how deeply tied solid waste management is with the economy and local government.

​

In August 2020, I continued my path forward by being selected as an Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) Research Participant with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This opportunity allows me to continue my work in the waste industry by working directly with EPA staff and industry experts.

  • Baird Sustainability Fellow: One of 13 seniors selected based on the following criteria: scholarship, leadership, and service, which were demonstrated through my advancement in sustainability goals on or beyond the Dickinson campus.

  • Center for Sustainability Education Steering Committee: One of two students selected to serve this committee, focusing on further integrating sustainability into the Dickinson curriculum.

In my personal life, I love the outdoors! To date, I have hiked 12 out of the 46 high peaks in the Adirondack mountain range in upstate New York. I have ambitions to climb all 46 peaks above 4,000 feet in my lifetime. I also enjoy running and biking. I ran cross country for nine years throughout high school and college. I enjoy taking photos throughout my endeavors as well. All of the photos on this website were photographed by me.
