I volunteer as a puppy sitter with the Montgomery Region of Guiding Eyes for the Blind. Guiding Eyes for the Blind was established to train guide dogs for the blind and visually impaired. I completed multiple Pre-Placement Classes to gain an understanding of the requirements necessary for training guide dogs. In this role, I have an on-program dog stay in my house when a full time raiser is out of town. During the stay, I take on all responsibilities of the full time puppy raiser by providing training and bringing the dog to its scheduled class.
